Forbes says Los Cabos is one of the best places to travel in 2019, and we think that the recently-opened Garza Blanca Resort & Spa certainly helps bolster that claim. Built by the same family of resorts behind the luxury Garza Blanca and Hotel Mousai properties in Puerto Vallarta, this new resort promises the same level of luxury as these member-favorite destinations.
This all-suite beachfront resort sits along the Baja California coast (great for whale watching between December and April). Rooms start in the Junior Suites, which feature King or Double Queen beds, 49-inch flat-screen TVs, high-tech touches like remote-controlled curtains and USB outlets (plus free Wi-Fi), plus free-standing bathtubs; every room has a private balcony with a hammock. Upgrades to multi-bedroom suites are available, and the resort's Ultra Suites offer full kitchens, laundry rooms and hot tubs on the balcony.
In addition to the oceanfront location, the resort has eight different pools, including an infinity rooftop pool, a kids pool, a swim-up bar and even a pool with a transparent wall (perfect for Instagramming). There are also multiple outdoor terraces with fire pits and lounges that feature live music and entertainment in the evening.
The hotel offers a European plan or an all-inclusive option, so guests can take advantage of the five restaurants on site: Rooftop, Hiroshi, Blanca Blue, BocaDos STK steakhouse and even a Garza Blanca Food Truck on the beach for fresh Baja seafood offerings. There are multiple bars throughout the property, including a rooftop bar with ocean views, a coffee shop and even a farmers market. The resort also features a sprawling full-service spa, and if you're looking to do more than relax, there's plenty to do in nearby San Jose del Cabo, along with the clubs and nightlife of Cabo San Lucas.
